16. Why do I have to continue paying a subscription fee? How do I know when to pay the subscription fee? 17. I have multiple sites. Do I have to pay for Transmission Wizard™ at each site? 1. How long does it take it install Transmission Wizard™, and will it interfere with my business? If you are using a supported LOS, implementation typically involves only 15 hours of DataDialect resources over a 4-6 week period to analyze, install, configure and test your connection. Actual implementation time from purchase order to a fully operational connection depends on your teamÕs available resources and needs. Commitment from your team is approximately 6 to 10 hours. A non-supported LOS will typically add 5 hours of DataDialect resources to the base implementation with an additional 2 hours of your resources' time. Interruption of your business will be minimal, after the initial 2-hour interview. We are happy to coordinate a schedule that is convenient for your team. 2. Does a DataDialect consultant require on-site access? Almost all of our installations are done by remote access to your system. A situation may arise in which it is necessary to make a site visit, but this is not anticipated. We save you money by not incurring travel and lodging expenses. 3. Do I have to inform my current warehouse lender that I am using Transmission Wizard™? Absolutely. Transmission Wizard™ requires a direct connection with the system at your mortgage warehouse. If you are dealing with a warehouse that we have not interfaced with before, our team will engage them to outline the requirements. 4. How do I convince my warehouse lender to accept data from Transmission Wizard™? We are here to help. There are obvious benefits to your warehouse lender if you use Transmission Wizard™. Warehouses share in the benefits associated with automatic error checking and avoiding the re-inputting of data. Our sales and technical staff will work with your warehouse to demonstrate these benefits. 5. I have multiple warehouse lenders. Can Transmission Wizard™ work with them all? The warehouses are typically cooperative. We have not encountered difficulties implementing additional connections. 6. What technical requirements are necessary for using Transmission Wizard™? Basically, you need a LOS that collects the data required by your warehouse lender(s). Your system must also be accessible via remote access periodically during the implementation period at scheduled times for installation and testing. Once you "go live" with your warehouse lender(s), our remote access is no longer required. System requirements and recommendations are available in our brochure. 7. Do you work with all loan origination systems? We have worked with most of the commonly used loan origination systems (as well as some not so commonly used). Our sales department can give you information on the various software we've connected to. If yours is not one we have experience with, our technical people can determine what it will take to create the interface. To date, we have not had problems with any loan origination system. 8. How long does it take to transmit a loan application using Transmission Wizard™ compared to my current method? Only you know how long your current method takes, but our experience has shown that it takes between 20 and 30 minutes of fax and/or email time for each loan that you send. With Transmission Wizard, each batch of loans will take approximately 5 to 7 minutes. You might send 1 batch a day, or possibly 2, depending on your workflow. In addition, Transmission Wizard has an error-checking component that flags incorrect items automatically before sending, typically cutting your error rate down to one third of what it is today. How much time do your funders spend correcting errors? 9. How do I know that my transmission is completed? Version II of Transmission Wizard™ will notify you that it successfully transferred the file. Your warehouse lender will send confirmation that the file and error report have been received. 10. How does Transmission Wizard™ log the transmissions? A log file records every process and includes the user name and the PC that was used for the transmission. 11. What type of errors will Transmission Wizard™ flag? Transmission Wizard™ identifies any value that is inappropriate for the field based on your warehouse's criteria. It will not, however, detect numeric transposing errors if they are in the correct range. 12. Is it safe to send my loan application by Transmission Wizard™? Yes, Transmission Wizard™ uses PGP encryption to transmit your data, which is not de-encrypted until it reaches your warehouse lender. 13. What kind of customer support does DataDialect provide? How do I get help? Currently, DataDialect has highly trained technical personnel available during normal business hours of 6 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time. We are working on expanding this to have "on call" personnel available for our East Coast customers during their normal business hours. Outside of these hours, you can leave us a voice mail, or send an email and we will be in contact with you once our office opens, or our "on call" person is available. For additional information, please visit our Support and Professional Services Page or our Contact Us Page. 14. I want to utilize Transmission Wizard™ in an industry outside of the mortgage business? How do I proceed? Transmission Wizard™ was designed generically to transmit data from virtually any kind of standard data format. Please contact us for further details. 15. How much does it cost? DataDialect offers two pricing models. The first involves the purchase of Transmission Wizard software and user licenses and an annual software subscription (maintenance contract). The second involves a connection fee and a monthly subscription fee. Contact our Sales Department to determine which pricing model is right for your organization. The costs are usually recovered through process, human resource and consumable savings and efficiencies within four or five months of implementation, depending on your volume. Transmission Wizard delivers a substantial ROI. Our customers tell us so. 16. Why do I have to continue paying a maintenance fee? How do I know when to pay the maintenance fee? If you choose to purchase software licenses, your software subscription (maintenance contract) provides ongoing product updates ensuring your organization has the most up to date functionality DataDialect has to offer. It provides you with insurance that your solution will be updated in the event of any changes to your system or to the system of your warehouse lender. Approximately 2 months before your software subscription (maintenance contract) expires, our sales staff will invite you to renew the contract. 17. I have multiple sites. Do have to pay for Transmission Wizard™ at each site? Yes, however, secondary connections are generally less expensive than the first connection licenses. User licenses are consistently priced. |
